ONAT LOPERA

I think it will speak for itself. I have a review pruned and aged here for a few days but I decided not to put it up. You just have to see it.
It is definitely one of the best for 2009.

My previous avalanche post was such a hit so I’m bringing it back but this time, I chose the low-key, not so mainstream movies that I had watched with a few top-notch foreign flicks (non-US) in it.

James Cameron’s Avatar teaser trailer is up. Good but looks like a Star Craft cut scene. Groundbreaking? Not really. Quite disappointing with all the hype it had then.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. That, by far, was the best Harry Potter movie I had watched. Visuals were amazing. It was even better than what I had imagined when I was reading the book. So where the heck did it went wrong? In almost everything.

As I tweeted the moment I was out of the theater, Star Trek was amazing! I’ve been a huge J.J. Abrams fan since Alias and M:I3 but this one is his best yet.

Casshern. A live action anime movie from Kazuaki Kiriya. Stunningly gorgeous. Such a visual feast. Great story also. This is not Japan’s “300″, it’s the other way around. 300 is US’ Casshern. Take a peek of the trailer and see for yourself.

Apparently I was wrong, Knowing did suck. A lot. I’ll give them props for some of the graphics but it was so predictable even in the cinematic aspects that I recommend you stay away from the movie. That’s P130 I’ll never get back.
