What’s with The Yellows?

I was watching TV last night when I stumbled upon this interesting news our Yellow neighbors had stirred. They censored parts of the movie Pirates: At World’s End of Chow Yun Fat looking like a demonized Hollywood version of Old Chinese folks that according to them, insulting. Also saying how dare them let one of their country’s heroes portray such character.

A special Chinese cut of the movie was shown but still got their “panties in a bunch” sort-of-speak.

It offended them because the movie was made by Americans IMO. They don’t want others do and talk crap of their country and culture. With the phrases “defacing the Chinese people” and “insult to a hero, Chow Yun”, I quickly recalled a scene from the Curse of the Golden Flowers of Chow Yun beating his son to a pulp death. I cringed when I was watching that. Tell me that is not offending. But will be if the movie was made by a non-Chinese I suppose.

Are the Yellows biased?
