ONAT LOPERA

Well let me tell you my story first before anything else. My owner took about 4 months to design me, not counting the weeks of changing back from one format to another. I underwent a couple of redesigns, mostly layout changes and small tweaks that made me the way I am now.

I can still remember my debut on the web; it was the 8th of March, 2005. I was kept on a low-profile state at first, or what others may say “on a soft release”; I think my owner was just making sure I was presented to the world well. The first time they saw me, they responded well and my owner was on a high. Then the day came for my owner to spread the word about me on the web (he thought I was ready for the world, he is really weird), it was on the 23rd of the same month when my link was posted on my owner’s forum signature, on public chatrooms and emails sent to everyone on my owner’s contact list. I love the traffic. Spiders came crawling in; I got indexed and worked my way up to really good ranks on famous search engines. I became popular and my owner got on a higher high.

And now I am one year old. Days had gone really fast, don’t you think? I was supposed to have another makeover for my birthday but my owner got caught up on things and he wasn’t able to finish everything in time. He tried rushing things but it came short, it’s still not ready. Even this entry is late but I don’t mind at all, I know he has a lot of plans lined up for me. One is something to do with my feeds. And another is about my content; I think I will have a small change on the entries I show. I know it will be great, and I hope you come and visit frequently to see the changes.

My owner and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, or better yet the bottom of his heart and the codes of my pages for taking time visiting, reading entries and speaking your mind onto some. At first, my sole purpose was to please my owner on his “dream” of having something like me, but now I can see that he wants to please and share more. My stats showed a lot of things where my owner will be basing the changes that will be happening to me. I am really excited.

I had a total of 218 entries and 276 comments on my first year. A great year, it was! And with that, though it is a few days late and this still count as the first entry, I welcome you to my YEAR TWO.
