The Shortest Vacation

The past two weeks was a blast and it’s really sad to say that the shortest vacation is over.

3 Days and Two Nights
We checked in to the Vista Marina Hotel at Moonbay Marina, SBMA to relax and enjoy the remaining days of their vacation.
Vista Marina Hotel

We got a total of three rooms with an awesome view. We were neighbors. I have to say that the three days and two nights spend there was the longest time I’ve even been to a hotel and never had that much fun out of it. The pool; the breakfast buffet (this should be illegal; this made me break my diet); the times we had to go out on lunches and dinners because hotel food is quite expensive and above all, being with my family, aunts, cousins and friends; it was all great!

Inevitably, not all great things were meant to last. We checked out of the hotel Sunday afternoon. I could feel things were starting to sink in that in just a matter of hours, they will be going back to the States. At night, friends came over to our house to mingle and hang out. My cousin, sister and I devoured a huge 14-inch pizza that night. The time spent (and food eaten) was so worth it to be able to enjoy each others’ company that night for one last time.

The Last Day
That morning, I felt the sadness that lingered on the house as I got up. The usually mayhem-like atmosphere on the mornings was not there. Tears flowed the whole morning. I had to go out and have their mobile phone international roaming enabled so that we could easily get in touch with them. Roxy, my cousin, came along that morning. After packing up and sealing their boxes, we all waited until noon for their ride to the airport to come. They even popped in the videoke CD, to somewhat change to mood of the house but it didn’t helped. And then the van arrived. Last kisses, hugs and farewells were exchanged. We would all be counting years to be able see each other again.

Almost each and every day during their vacation here, we were out somewhere doing something. I am sure I enjoyed every moment of it and I am hoping that they felt the same way. It was really nice to see our distant relatives and finally meet one of our first cousins from the US. I will surely miss all of them.

Alot of pictures to come. I have about 250 MB worth of pictures to go through, sort and resize.
